West Coast Conference Presenters (Los Angeles)
Note: Although we may invite back some presenters from year to year, in all cases they will have prepared all new presentations.
Rick Stack, M.S. Ed., was a student of Seth & Jane Roberts and personally attended over 100 Seth sessions given in Jane Roberts' classes in Elmira, NY. He is the President of New Awareness Network Inc., "The Seth Bookstore" (www.sethcenter.com) and publisher/editor of The Seth Audio Collection, The Early Sessions (Books 1-9 of the Seth Material), The Personal Sessions, and other books by Jane Roberts. Author of "Out Of Body Adventures" (Contemporary Books 1988), he has been teaching workshops on the Seth material, Dreams, Out of Body Experiences and metaphysics throughout the United States and abroad for over 30 years. He has been on the faculty of many schools throughout the United States and has appeared on numerous radio and television shows. His current projects include being on the board of advisors for The World Peace Festival Berlin, and a global outreach program to educate and introduce people to the Seth material (www.sethlearningcenter.org). He is also the president and executive producer of New York Dinner Theater, a theatrical production company operating in the Northeast US for over 18 years.
Lynda Dahl is co-founder of Seth Network International (www.sethnet.org), the global meeting place for Seth readers. She has appeared on numerous radio and TV shows, was co-host of a radio program, and has been a speaker at many Seth conferences. Her four books - Beyond the Winning Streak, Ten Thousand Whispers, The Wizards of Consciousness, and The Book of Fallacies (available at www.amazon.com and www.sethnet.org) - stress the practical applications of the Sethian ideas. Lynda is currently writing another book, titled Conscious Creation's Holy Grail: Trusting >From the Inside Out, which is based on Seth's comments and urgings toward an expanded consciousness and its stunning implications to life in linear time.
Mary Dillman has dedicated the past 10 years to researching and helping to organize the original manuscripts, journals and papers of Jane Roberts that are archived at Yale University. Her work for the benefit of current and future scholars of the Seth material includes ongoing interviews with friends and associates of Jane Roberts and Rob Butts, including former ESP class members. These interviews, as well as documents and audio tapes, are forming an ancillary collection for eventual use by other researchers. In her presentations Mary enjoys sharing her discoveries along with her adventures and insights from using the Jane/Rob/Seth ideas in her own life.
Richard Wolinsky was a member of Jane Roberts' ESP class from June 1973 until the class ended at the end of February 1975, and appears in "Conversations with Seth" and "Unknown Reality Vol. 2" under the name "Will Petrosky." From 1976 through 2001, he produced and co-hosted a literary book program on KPFA-FM in Berkeley, and since 2001 has produced and hosted "Bookwaves: A Program about Books" nationally on the Pacifica Network. He has also been at various times a magazine editor, freelance writer, television associate producer, and elections specialist.
Michael Steffen, partner in the new Seth Network International, has been an active student of the Seth material since the early 1980s. He has written published articles on a variety of Seth related topics and has spoken about the practical implications of Seth's ideas at various conferences, seminars and workshops. Michael enjoys sharing insights concerning the application of Seth's principals on the practice of everyday living, and believes that this exploration will lead us toward fulfilling, conscious, and satisfying lives. He is currently working on a book about learning to live life with complete trust.
Paul M. Helfrich, Ph.D., has spent the past three decades exploring multidisciplinary approaches as an educator, researcher, webmaster, composer, writer, and lecturer. He earned his Integral Certificate from Fielding Graduate University in 2007. Earlier, he earned his graduate degrees in music composition from Temple University, where he composed classical music and taught music theory, history, and composition. His love of science and technology led him to Philadelphia's Franklin Institute Science Museum, where he developed major hands-on state-of-the-art science exhibits including What Makes Music?, visited by over two million people in the U.S. and Canada. He spearheaded the formation of The Science Learning Network, a national program promoting virtual community-building among leading science museums and K-8 schools worldwide. Helfrich has authored essays, presented workshops, and lectured nationally on conscious creation, the channeling phenomenon, and integral psychology. Lawrence Davidson was a member of Jane Robert's ESP class from December 1972 until classes ended in 1976. Lawrence is known as Lauren Del Marie in "Conversations With Seth", and as Larry in "Adventures In Consciousness" and "Psychic Politics". He is the organizer, co-creator and heart and soul of a different Seth conference that also takes place in California. (Lawrence's conference is called "The California Seth Conference" and is held during the winter). He co-created the science fiction show "Probabilities" for KPFA radio with fellow class member Richard Wolinsky in 1976 and was co-producer for 10 years. He is also the co-author of the award winning book "Pulp Culture" with Frank M. Robinson, a collection of early fiction magazine covers first published in 1998. Lawrence continues to inspire the Bay Area Seth groups meetings with his first-hand knowledge of what Seth said, and can always be counted on to steer the group back to what he feels is the main point that Seth was trying to get across: you get what you focus on.
Anne Marie O'Farrell, attended several of Jane Robert's ESP/Seth classes and has been the literary agent for the Seth material for the past 18 years. After most of the Seth books went out of print, she worked closely with Robert Butts on getting all of the Seth books republished in the United States, and an ongoing effort to have as many Seth books as possible published in other languages. She is a partner in the Marcil-O'Farrell literary agency and specializes in the areas of human potential, personal growth, healing, self-help, new age and children's books.
Joyce A. Kovelman, Ph.D., is a psychologist, scientist, international speaker, and has served for many years as an official ECOSOC representative to the United Nations on behalf of the Institute of Global Education. She was awarded a NIMH post-doctoral scholarship in Psychiatry and Bio-behavioral Sciences and has taught in the Medical School at U.C.L.A. She has studied and taught in the area of the Seth material since 1970, is the author of two books, and a frequent guest on T.V. and radio.
